About the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ Program
Celebrating excellence in independent book publishing for over 30 years
Since 1983, the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), the largest not-for-profit trade association of independent publishers, has been a leader in member advocacy, education, and tools for success. Over this time, the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ for excellence in book publishing has become one of the highest national honors for independent publishers.
Winning an IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ expands a publisher’s marketability and solidifies its credibility. Considering how crowded the book market is today, these are two very powerful things.
